In event registrations, some people may want to secure their spot but cannot make immediate payments. They know they want to attend but need the flexibility to pay later when their finances allow. This article discusses how to enable guest registrations with deferred payment options, ensuring convenience for attendees facing temporary financial constraints.

There is no straightforward way to allow guests to register themselves for the event and choose to pay later.

As a workaround, as an admin, you can add a guest and use the Collect payment later option. This option is only visible when an admin is registering or paying on behalf of a guest.

Add the Guest from the Guest Manager.

Add the guest to the event via Guest Manager by Clicking the + icon as shown below ๐Ÿ‘‡

  • Follow the usual process of registering > Add the guest details, and select the relevant tickets. On the payment page, select the Collect payment later option ๐Ÿ‘‡

An email will NOT be sent to the guest when you add them from the admin side.

There are 2 ways to send this confirmation email.

Option 1: Event manager/admin triggers the confirmation email

The event manager/admin can trigger the confirmation email from the Guest Manager tab. Here's how๐Ÿ‘‡

Guests can complete the payment by clicking on the Pay outstanding amount button on the event registration confirmation email.๐Ÿ‘‡

Option 2: Ask the guest to enter their name and email on the event page

Ask the guest to click on the Register button on the event page and enter the name, email, and other details on the following screen.


Note: The email address should be the same as the one used to register for the event.

Once the details are entered, they will see a pop-up similar to the one below. Ask them to click on the "Send Email" button to receive the confirmation email.

By clicking on the "Pay Outstanding Amount" button on that email, they can complete the payment.
