Validating the Data Entry for Campaign, Fund, and Appeal for Gifts on Raiser's Edge

Learn how to check the validity of data entries across campaign, fund and appeal.

Step 1: Accessing the Campaign on Raiser's Edge

  1. Click on "Records" to access the Campaigns page on Raiser’s Edge.

  2. Use the "Quick Find" field to search the campaign and Open it.

Step 2: Check for Campaign and Fund combination

  1. Click on "Giving Hierarchy" tab and check if the correct fund is associated with the campaign.

  2. If not, click on the icon next to Add New Fund.

  3. Select Add Existing Fund and Enter the details.

  4. Hit Save and Close.

Step 3: Check for Campaign and Appeal combination

  1. Click on "Appeals" tab.

  2. Check if the associated appeal exists.

  3. If not, add the Appeal ID and Description to the list and Save and Close.

Note:

  • If you mark Default for an appeal:

    • The Appeal field will automatically display that appeal when you assign gifts to the new campaign.

    • Only one appeal can be selected as the default.

  • If "Limit data entry to only the appeals associated with this campaign" is unmarked:

    • You can select and save any appeal with any campaign when entering gifts.

    • This is also applicable to Funds in Step 2.
