Follow the steps below to import historical gift data from your Raiser's Edge environment to Almabase.
Step 1: Head to the Gift Import section
Go to Giving ➡ Gift Import.
Step 2: Select a connection to facilitate the gift import
Select the Raiser's Edge account to form the connection between the two systems and test the connection.
Once the connection is set up successfully, Proceed to the next step.
Step 3: Select how you would like to import gifts
Click on + Import gifts from Raiser's Edge box to create a new gift import configuration.
Here, you can choose a one-time gift import or perform an automatically scheduled gift pull.
If you'd like to make a one-time gift pull or pull in historical gifts, specify a start date and an end date. All gifts added between these dates will be pulled into Almabase.
For importing gifts at regular intervals, select the start date and frequency (Daily, Weekly, or Monthly) at which the pull should be performed automatically.
Step 4: Select the Configuration for the gifts
On the next page, you can configure campaign, appeal, fund, and gift type for the gifts you're pulling in. Note that these fields are non-mandatory but are useful when the gifts should be associated with specific funds.
Step 5: Select a Giving Page
On the next page, you can select a Giving Page to associate the gifts to. If you leave this option empty, gifts will still be imported, but they won't be assigned to any specific giving page.
Step 6: Name the Configuration and Confirm it
The last step shows a summary of the configuration. Give the configuration a name and click on Confirm to start the gift pull.
That's it! Based on the configuration you've selected, the gifts will be created on the platform.
