We have upgraded how gift data is synced from Almabase to Raiser’s Edge NXT (applies to BBMS payment gateway only). This update is live now!

More detailed payment information on gift records in Raiser’s Edge, including additional card-related details that make reconciliation and auditing easier.

1. More Payment Details Will Sync to Raiser’s Edge

With this upgrade, card payments synced from Almabase (for both Giving and Events) will include additional information such as:

- Cardholder name
- Card type (Visa, Mastercard, etc.)
- Card expiry date
- Authorization code

Ability to identify cards nearing expiration

Fewer manual checks during finance reviews

- Easier payment reconciliation
- Better audit trails

This is a behind-the-scenes upgrade focused purely on improving data quality in Raiser’s Edge.

Will this affect gifts already synced to Raiser’s Edge?

No. The syncing of payment details apply only to new gifts synced from now.

No. This change only affects how data appears inside Raiser’s Edge, not the donor experience.

No action is required in Almabase. The upgrade is handled automatically.

If I do not see the payment details synced to Raiser's Edge, what could be the reason?

The following could be the reasons for that to happen:

- The payment gateway for the gift is not BBMS. This update is only for BBMS.
- The gift batch is not approved yet. It is still uncommitted. 

1. Will this affect gifts already synced to Raiser’s Edge?
 No. The syncing of payment details apply only to new gifts synced from now.
 
2. Will donors see any difference?
 No. This change only affects how data appears inside Raiser’s Edge, not the donor experience.
 
3. Do we need to reconfigure Almabase?
 No action is required in Almabase. The upgrade is handled automatically.
 
4. If I do not see the payment details synced to Raiser's Edge, what could be the reason?
 The following could be the reasons for that to happen:
 - The payment gateway for the gift is not BBMS. This update is only for BBMS.
