Giving form fields: more flexibility, better donor experience

Donors can choose to make their gift anonymous before they enter payment details — the "Make this gift anonymous" checkbox has moved from the post-payment screen to the pre-payment form on all giving pages. This means donors see the option right alongside their name and contact details, so they can decide upfront whether their gift is displayed publicly.

On top of that, admins have the option to move two additional fields — Employer (for matching gifts via Double the Donation) and Tribute — to the pre-payment form. These fields remain on the post-payment form by default, so nothing changes unless you decide to move them.

What's different

  • The anonymous gift checkbox appears on the pre-payment form for all donors, across all giving pages. It no longer appears on the post-payment form.

  • Admins can optionally move the Employer and Tribute fields to pre-payment via Gift Settings.

What you need to do

  • The anonymous gift change is already live on all your giving pages — no action needed.

  • If you'd like to move Employer or Tribute fields to pre-payment, head to Tools → Giving → Gift Settings and use the "Move to pre-payment" option next to those fields.
