Under the Gift Settings tab, different settings can be chosen for the fields for gift pre-payment and post-payment forms.
The new admin dashboard's Tools>Giving>Gift Settings tab can be used to access the gift settings.
📝 Gift settings apply to all the giving pages.
There are 3 subsections under this tab: Pre-payment, post-payment, and other settings.
You can configure these fields to either make them mandatory, optional, or hidden from the donors.
Pre-payment Fields
The pre-payment form is what donors fill out before entering their payment details. The following fields are available:
Email — Mandatory (non-configurable)
Name — Mandatory (non-configurable)
Phone — Mandatory (non-configurable)
Make this gift anonymous — A checkbox that lets donors choose whether their gift is displayed anonymously. This field always appears on the pre-payment form and is non-configurable — it is not shown in Gift Settings. The donor's name is still recorded for your internal records but won't be shown publicly.
Address Line 1 — Configurable (mandatory, optional, or hidden)
Address Line 2 — Configurable (mandatory, optional, or hidden)
City — Configurable (mandatory, optional, or hidden). You can also choose whether to allow free-text entry or restrict to city names only.
Zip Code — Configurable (mandatory, optional, or hidden)
Gift Aid — Configurable (mandatory, optional, or hidden). Relevant for UK taxpayers.
📌 Email, Name, Phone, and Make this gift anonymous are non-configurable. The anonymous checkbox always appears on the pre-payment form.
Post-payment Fields
The post-payment form appears after a donor has successfully completed their payment. By default, the following fields appear here:
Make a tribute — Allows donors to dedicate their gift in honor or in memory of someone. This field appears here by default but can be moved to pre-payment via Gift Settings.
Comments — A text field where donors can add a personal message.
Employer — Lets donors enter their employer for matching gifts through Double the Donation, helping them check if their company will match their donation. This field appears here by default but can be moved to pre-payment via Gift Settings.
📝 Company matching gift is to configure Double the Donation to enable donors to have their employer match their gift. Reach out to us to configure this for your campaign.
