Step 1: Access Fund Settings

  1. Navigate to "Settings".

  2. Proceed to "Fund Settings."

Step 2: Initiate Fund Creation

  1. On the page that appears, select "Add Fund."

  2. You'll then be prompted to fill in the relevant fund details.

Some Notes

  • The "External database ID" field is specifically for Raiser's Edge users, referring to the System Record ID of the Fund.

  • Only one fund can be set as the default. If you mark a new fund as the default, any previously set default fund will be unmarked automatically.

How does it work

  • When donors contribute through a giving campaign linked to multiple funds, they can choose which specific fund receives their donation.

  • If a campaign isn't linked to any fund, the system defaults to using the designated "default" fund.

  • If no fund is set as default, the system auto-generates an "Undesignated Fund," marking it as default.

  • All campaign contributions will then go to this undesignated fund.

  • Essentially, you can either manually set a default fund, or the system will handle it for you.

Editing or Deleting a Fund

  • You can modify fund details (like name, description, or image) whenever necessary.

  • However, you can only delete a fund if there haven't been any donations made towards it.

For Multiple Funds

  • If you're aiming to add several funds to Almabase, utilize the "import" button for efficiency.
