What is Gift Aid?
Gift Aid is a UK government scheme that allows charities to reclaim the income tax paid on donations made by UK taxpayers. It's a simple way to boost your donations without costing the donors an extra penny.
How does Gift Aid work?
When the donor makes a donation to a charity and declares Gift Aid, the charity can claim back the income tax the donor already paid on that donation. This means that their donation worth £10 is actually worth £12.50 to the charity.
