There are multiple methods to create email groups on Almabase.

Note: Deciding which one is right for you depends on the database you use and the criteria for creating the email group/list.

    • When to use?

      • Always use this method if the constituents are on RE NXT.

      • Use this method if the query needed to create the email list is based on a field that is not on Almabase.

      • If you want to keep the email list dynamically updated as it is updated on Raiser's Edge, use the method of setting up a recurring pull.

    • When to use?

      • Use this method if the constituent records are in a non-RE system like Salesforce, Ellucian, an Excel file, etc.

      • This method is meant for non-RE users. RE users can use it when the constituents are not on RE.

      • Always add IDs and email addresses to the import template. This will ensure no duplicates are created and data accuracy is maintained.

    • When to use?

      • This method can be used by RE or non-RE users.

      • If the records are already on Almabase and the criteria to create the email list can be set up on Data Studio, then use this method.

Note: If new records are added to Almabase when creating the email groups, they will be unlisted by default.
