Almabase provides two automation workflows that help you grow and engage your community. Each runs on its own once set up — no manual sends needed.
Invite Workflow
Purpose: Bring new members to the platform.
The invite workflow sends personalised invitation emails to constituents in your database who haven't signed up yet. Each email contains a unique link tied to their record — so when they sign up, they're automatically matched and approved, regardless of which email they use.
You configure the initial invite, follow-up emails, and timing. The workflow handles the rest.
Who receives it | Unregistered constituents in your selected communication group |
What it drives | Sign-ups and platform adoption |
When to use | At launch to bring your community onto the platform, or anytime you want to invite a new group |
Networking Recommendations
Purpose: Engage members who are already on the platform.
The Networking Recommendation workflow sends automated emails suggesting 3 people a registered member might know — based on shared work, education, location, interests, and skills. Each email also includes a link for the member to update their own profile, keeping directory data fresh.
The system learns over time — already-shown suggestions are excluded, and future recommendations lean toward profiles similar to ones the member clicked before.
Who receives it | Registered, active members with at least 3 strong matches |
What it drives | Reconnections, networking, and profile completeness |
When to use | After launch, once you have enough registered members to generate meaningful matches |
How They Work Together
Think of it as two phases: Invite brings people in. Networking Recommendations keeps them coming back. The invite workflow runs first during launch. Once you have a critical mass of registered members, activate Networking Recommendations to sustain engagement.
