Obtaining API Login ID, Client ID & Transaction Key for Authorize.net Checkout Setup

Learn how to get the necessary credentials for integrating Authorize.net with Almabase.

Step 1: Access API Credentials

  1. Go to the "Account" section.

  2. Select "API Credentials & Keys" under Security Settings.

  3. On the page that opens, locate your API Login ID.

  4. Copy or save the API Login ID for later use.

Step 2: Generate New Transaction Key

  1. On the same "API Credentials & Keys" page, look for the option to generate a new transaction key.

  2. Choose "Obtain New Transaction Key" and submit.

  3. Verify your identity using the requested method, such as a PIN.

  4. Once verified, a screen will display your new transaction key. Copy or save this key.

If you're not using the old transaction key elsewhere, check "Disable Old Transaction Key".

Step 3: Obtain Client ID

  1. Return to the "Account" section.

  2. Click on "Manage Public Client Key" under Security Settings.

  3. Find your "Client ID" on the subsequent page.

  4. Copy or save the Client ID.

  5. If the Client ID isn't visible, answer the security question to generate it.

Step 4: Set Up Authorize.Net Checkout

  1. After saving or copying the API Login ID, Client ID, and Transaction keys, follow the instructions provided on Almabase to set up an Authorize.Net Checkout payment account.

  2. Ensure all the saved credentials are correctly entered during the setup process.
