After revamping our Fundraising module, we now have options for users to donate to giving campaigns while registering for the event.
You can allow registrants for an event to donate to a cause in two ways:
To enable donations to your event, all you need to do is add a Gift Ticket.
The steps are almost the same as setting up Payment Rules and Fund Options while creating a fundraising campaign on the platform.
Under Event Settings, you will find an option to add a Gift Ticket.
Fill in the following details-
Fund Designation - Only one fund can be linked to a gift ticket.
Minimum amount - This should be less than the smallest amount on the Quick Select Options.
Turn on Publish to make it visible on the event page.
Here's how the gift ticket will look to the event registrant.
Few points to note:
Gift Tickets will not be added to the event unless there are other tickets (Seated, Mandatory, and Open) associated with the event
Events with just Gift Tickets would seem like a campaign, so you can create a campaign page instead.
If your event is free, but you want the event attendees to donate, then create a free mandatory ticket and add a gift ticket.
This new feature on the events module allows you to set up a gift widget on the guest kit; the guest can access that to make a quick gift in no time. You can also use this feature to change the giving campaigns or funds during the event to create more appeal among attendees.
Adding a Gift Button to your event
Head to the Guest Kit tab, and under the Gift Button section, select the Configure Gift Button; this will open up a side window where you can edit the settings and a Gift button to your event.
From the side window, you can edit the following 👇
Select the campaign you wish to link the gift button to: Here, you can select the giving campaign to which the guests can donate by using the gift button.
Description: Here, you can add a description for your Gift button.
What would you like to call the Donate button?: Enter the text you want to show on the Donate button.
What is changing?
Admins can set up a gift button widget on the Guest Kit tied to a campaign on Almabase’s giving product.
Admin has an option where the gift button card can be refreshed without disrupting the live stream - so admins can change the campaign linked to the button mid-stream and ask the guests to refresh the card to potentially point to a different campaign that has a different appeal.
The guest will see a gift button and progress bar for the associated campaign on their guest kit. They can make a donation easily from here in no time.
