Context
When you want to stop someone from receiving emails through a specific communication group, you can unsubscribe them from that group. The record stays in the group but is marked as unsubscribed, so they won't receive emails sent to it. Use this when you want to honor a recipient's preference to stop receiving a specific type of email.
Looking to unsubscribe a record from all communication (not just one group)? That's a different action — go to Admin Actions → Communication Center → Unsubscribe From Communication in Data Studio. This stops all bulk emails to that record across every group.
How It Works
Step 1: Select the Record(s)
Go to Members → Data Studio in the admin panel.
Search for the record(s) you want to unsubscribe and select them using the checkboxes.
Step 2: Unsubscribe from the Group
Click Admin Actions → Communication Center → Unsubscribe records from an existing communication group.
Select the communication group from the dropdown.
Click Unsubscribe Members.
The selected record(s) will be marked as unsubscribed within that group. They will remain in the group's member list but will no longer receive emails sent to it.

How do I unsubscribe a record from ALL communication, not just one group?
That's a separate action. In Data Studio, select the record(s), then go to Admin Actions → Communication Center → Unsubscribe From Communication. This unsubscribes the record from all bulk email communication across the platform — not just a specific group.
Can I re-subscribe someone who was unsubscribed from a group?
To resubscribe, go to Members → Manage User Groups → Unsubscribed Users in the admin panel. Select the user(s) and remove them from the unsubscribed list.
Will unsubscribing a record from a group remove them from the group?
No. Unsubscribing marks the record as unsubscribed within the group — they stay in the member list but won't receive emails sent to it.
