Automated emails are messages that the system triggers based on interactions on the platform. For instance, when someone registers for an event or makes a donation. Even on their birthday or anniversary, they receive a message automatically.

Here is a sample message. This is the automated email users receive when their profile is verified after registration.

You can tweak the content of these messages from the System Emails Setup. Please follow the steps mentioned below.

  • Step 1: Search for System emails setup on the Admin Panel.

  • Step 2: Here, you will find a list of all the automated emails along with their subject lines and the date when they were last modified.

Click on the automated email title for which you'd like to change the content and start making the changes accordingly.

📝 NOTE: Make sure the content in the {{curly brackets}} is not altered. This is code for merge tags which the system automatically picks up and alters contextually.
(For example, if the automated mail is going to a person named John Doe, instead of “Dear {{first_name}}, it will read as “Dear John.”)

You can tweak the rest of the general content as you wish,

💡 Pro Tip:  Alumni love to receive wishes on their birthday and anniversary. Adding a short personalized note here could go a long way. You could also alter the Verification confirmation email to be a message welcoming them to the platform.
