Sending personalized birthday and anniversary wishes is an effective way to engage with alumni and strengthen your community. Here's how you can enable automated wishes and customize birthday emails on the platform.
Step 1: Access Site Settings
Navigate to the 'Site settings' section of your platform.
Click on 'Site Setup' to access configuration options.
Step 2: Enable Automated Daily Wishes
Find "Automated daily wishes" within 'Site setup'.
Toggle the switch to enable this feature.
This ensures birthday and anniversary emails are sent based on dates in alumni profiles.
Step 3: Ignore Anniversary Wishes (Optional)
If you prefer not sending anniversary wishes, toggle on "Ignore anniversary wishes". This ensures only birthday wishes are sent.
Step 4: Customize Birthday Emails
Go to 'Settings' ➡ 'Platform Settings' ➡ 'System Emails Setup'.
Look for the email type labeled "Birthday wish".
Click on it to edit and customize the template.
Remember to keep merge tags intact to avoid issues.
