DAF Pay, powered by Chariot, lets your donors make gifts directly from their Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs) — just like any other payment method.
This article walks you through how to enable DAF Pay on Almabase so your Giving Pages can start accepting DAF gifts seamlessly.

Step 1: Navigate to Gift Settings

  1. From your Admin Dashboard, go to Tools → Giving.

  2. Open the Gift Settings tab.

Step 2: Enable DAF Pay

Scroll down to the Payment Method Setup section and toggle Enable DAF Pay ON.

⚙️ Note: This setting applies globally — once enabled, DAF Pay will be available as a payment option across all Giving Pages on your Almabase site.

Step 3: Connect your Chariot DAF Pay account

When you toggle on DAF Pay, you’ll see two options:

  • I already have a Chariot DAF Pay account

  • I am new to Chariot DAF Pay

Choose the one that applies to you:

✅ If you already have a Chariot DAF Pay account

  • Select “I already have a Chariot DAF Pay account.”

  • Enter your Organization Name (or EIN) and Email ID.

  • Refresh your screen. Your connection will be established instantly, and a Connect ID will be automatically returned.

  • Once connected, DAF Pay will appear as a payment option on all your Giving Pages.

🆕 If you are new to Chariot DAF Pay

  • Select “I am new to Chariot DAF Pay.”

  • You’ll be redirected to Chariot’s website to create your DAF Pay account.

  • Once you complete the onboarding, return to Almabase to finish the connection.

  • For detailed steps on creating your Chariot account and setup requirements, check out Chariot’s setup guide.

How this appears to your donors

Once enabled, donors will see DAF Pay listed as one of the payment options (alongside Cards, ACH, PayPal, etc.) when making a gift on your Giving Page.
