What is the Registration page?

The Registration page is a form-like structure where you or your alumni answer specific questions as part of the sign-up process for the platform. Read more here.

Can the phone number in the registration form be removed or made optional?

The phone number can be removed from the form. However, it remains on the member's Profile page and can be updated there.

Can address/birthdate fields be added to the registration page?

No, only custom fields can be added.

Can the text on the Registration page be modified?

Certain text can be changed. Contact for specific modifications.

Can some roles (e.g. Alumni) be removed from the 'Roles' dropdown options?

Four preset roles (Alumni, Student, Faculty, Staff, Other) are unchangeable, but new roles can be added (e.g. Parent or Community Member). Email to add.

Can I delete any existing fields on the registration page?

'Phone Number' and 'Year of Entry' can be removed. 'Location' can be made optional. The rest can't be removed since they are required for the mapping of users to the database.

Can more fields be added to the registration page?

Yes, additional fields can be added, but it's not recommended due to potential user drop-offs.

Can more roles be added and can they have unique fields?

Yes, new roles can be added with preset fields that cannot be changed. These fields are:

  • Name

  • Email

  • Phone Number

  • City

  • Password

  • Preferences

Additional fields can be added but note that they will be shown for all roles. Role-specific fields aren't available yet and there's limited flexibility regarding field placement.

Why is a city not showing up in the 'City' dropdown options?

The location-related fields are powered by Google Places. This enhances the accuracy and makes your Data Studio much more powerful.

It is probable that the 'city' you are looking for isn't considered a city but something else (e.g. town). Try the nearest major city or email for assistance.

Can the fade in the signup page images be removed?

Yes. Try the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Admin panel > Site Settings > Registration Configuration Settings.

  2. Find 'Hide color gradient during sign-up steps'.

  3. Choose 'true' from the dropdown and click 'save'.

Is it possible to change the fade color on signup images?

No, the fade color is determined by the site's primary color and cannot be modified.

Can the 'Year of Graduation' range be extended on the Registration Page?

As of now, the "Year of Graduation" dropdown offers years dating back to 1940.
