Forms are an integral part of Almabase, and we are constantly improving/enhancing it. Your users can now upload multiple files at once for a form submission.

In this article, we'll get into understanding what is the new field type i.e, "multiple files upload" and how can you leverage this field to collect updated/additional information from you alums.

What is this new field type, and what does it do?

This new field type is called "Multiple file upload." As the name suggests, the users can submit more than one file of any type. By multiple, we mean up to 20 files of 20 MB (documents, pictures, PDF) each.

NOTE: Single file upload - 1 file up to 20 MB for images/files, 200 MB for video
Multiple file upload - 20 files, each file = 20 MB, cannot include video

Some ideas on how you could put this to use right away -

  • Asking the Alumni to upload pictures from their Graduation Year for your website’s gallery

  • Share their recent Alumni meet-up in a different city, where the Alumni need not fill in multiple forms to submit the pictures; instead, they could use this new feature to upload 20 images at once.

  • When following up on an event — encourage submitting good photos along with feedback.

  • Simplify your job/internship applications and surveys by allowing users to upload all their supporting documents in one go.

Tip: This feature could also be used in the Career portal where a candidate could submit their resume, cover letter, portfolio in one go.

The ways to use this feature are endless. We’re really excited to see how you’ll use this to drive engagement.
