Granting Environment Admin Access to an Existing Account

Step 1: Navigate to Blackbaud Marketplace

Step 2: Access Security Settings

  1. Select "Security" in the top menu bar.

  2. If you don't see the "Security" option, you can try this link for access.

Step 3: Choose the User

  1. Navigate to the "Users" tab.

  2. Select the user for whom you want to grant "Environment Admin Access."

Step 4: Manage Roles

  1. Go to the user's details page.

  2. Click on "Manage roles"

Step 5: Enable Environment Admin

  1. Check the "Make environment admin" option under the "Security" section.

  2. Save the changes.

Note: For seamless synchronization, it's essential to grant these permissions to connected accounts.

Granting 'Security Groups: Full Rights' to a Connected Account

Almabase ensures security and data access controls within the Blackbaud environment to enhance data protection and authorized access.

Step 1: Access Blackbaud Marketplace

Step 2: Access Security Settings

  1. Select "Security" in the top menu bar.

  2. If you can't find "Security," you can try this link for access.

Step 3: Choose the User

  1. Navigate to the "Users" tab.

  2. Select the user for whom you want to adjust security group permissions.

Step 4: Manage Roles

  1. Go to the users detail page.

  2. Click on "Manage roles."

Step 5: Modify Security Groups

  1. Under "Security Groups," select either "Link to an existing user"

  2. Or "Edit" if permissions have already been granted.

Step 6: Select Full Rights

  1. Choose the option that grants "Full Rights".

  2. Save the changes.

Adding a New Security Group

If you can't find an "Admin Group - Full Rights" option, you can add a new security group via the database view.

Step 1: Open Database View

  1. Access the Database view of Raiser's Edge.

Step 2: Navigate to Admin Options

  1. Go to the Navigation bar.

  2. Select "Admin".

Step 3: Create a New Admin Group

  1. Go to "Administration".

  2. Navigate to "Security".

  3. Select "New Group" to create a new admin group.

Step 4: Configure Group Settings

  1. In the pop-up box, add the Group name and Description according to your preferences.

Step 5: Set Privileges

  1. Ensure you check all the boxes under "Group Privileges".

  2. Save the changes.

Step 6: Completing the Process

  1. Once you have added the new security group with full permissions, return here to complete the process.
