Set up required permissions for Gift Sync as follows 👇
Fundraising Role
Step 1: Create a fundraising role
Follow the steps below on how to get it done:
1. Navigate to https://app.blackbaud.com/marketplace/?svcid=paymt2. Select Security in the top menu bar. (If you do not see security in the menu bar using the previous link, try navigating to https://host.nxt.blackbaud.com/payments-api)
3. Ensure you have a Fundraising role in place:
Under Raiser's Edge NXT roles, create a new role under Fundraising roles by clicking the plus sign +.
On the Create Fundraising role screen, enter a role name and description (Used for your reference).
The Copy Role option will appear if fundraising roles already exist. Further, this option can be left blank.
Mark all the permissions as shown in the screenshot above ☝️
Click Save at the bottom of the screen.
Step 2: Add a New Security Group
Note: Skip this step if you already have a security group that has Admin-level Full Access Security group permissions.
You may not find an Admin Group - Full Rights option. In that case, follow the below steps to add a new security group via database view 👈
Open the Database view of Raiser's Edge.
Navigate to the Admin option from the Navigation bar as shown below 👇
Navigate to the Security option under Administration and select New Group to create a new admin group.
On the pop-up box, add the Group name and Description as per your preference 👇
Ensure you check all the boxes under Group Privileges and then save the changes.
Step 3: Grant Fundraising and Security Group - Full Access Permissions.
Navigate to the Users tab and select the user you who will be granted access 👇
On the User details screen, select Manage roles.
Select the newly created fundraising role from the Fundraising drop-down under the Raiser's Edge NXT section.
Select Edit > Create a new user option under Security groups and select the option that has the full/highest rights if permissions are yet to be granted👇
Or select the Edit option if security group permissions have already been granted 👇
Select the option that has full rights and save the changes👇
The connected account on Almabase now has the required permissions for us to go ahead and sync gifts.
