You may come across instances where the record exists on Almabase, but you are unable to find the linked email on All Users to grant admin access. This is because the person is yet to register/sign up on the platform and link themselves to the record on the platform.
A record is a profile on the platform for a person. A set of data.
While a user is someone who has registered/signed up on the platform and linked himself to a record.
In such cases where the record exists but lacks a linked user, it is recommended you invite the person to sign up on the platform by navigating to the person's profile and clicking on the Invite User to Signup option 👇
Using this option to invite an individual user helps reduces the chance of duplicates. To understand how using this option works, please check out the How Does the "Invite User to Signup" Option on the User Profile Work? article.
Once they claim their account and sign up, you can make them an admin user.
How Does the "Invite User to Signup" Option on the User Profile Work?
Once you have added a new record on the platform and you will want to invite the user to sign up. Or, you may not be using the front end of Almabase to allow users to log in. In either case, you can head to the new user's profile and select the Invite <user> To Signup option as highlighted below 👇
Once you invite the user to signup on the platform, they will receive an email invitation to join the platform. It will look something like this 👇
When they click on the Claim account link in the email, they will be redirected to go through the registration process 👇
Once they complete the process, you can go ahead and make them an admin or approve the user so they can interact with the site.
