Using directories, you can set up a Job or Internship Board to list all open positions and make the application process easier. The Job or Internship board directory enables administrators and alumni to post open positions, allowing job seekers to utilize search and filter to apply for their ideal position and that dream job!

1. Create a Job or Internship Directory

On Admin Navigation, go to Directories and click on   to add a new directory.

Enter a directory name and select the template Job Board or Internship Board to get started 👇

2. Manage Form

Under Settings, click on Manage Form to edit or add form fields. This form will collect all the information about the Job Posting (e.g., Industry, Salary, Location, etc.).

3. Publish Criteria

This filter will decide the criteria used for publishing a Job Post. For example - If one of the filters applied is Last Day to Apply - Between Upcoming - 10 Days, it will display all the posts with Last day to apply till the upcoming 10 days. Similarly, multiple publish criteria can be added at the same time.

Check out this article for more details on Publish Criteria.

4. Privacy

This option can help us limit or open the Directory to a particular audience where this information is relevant. For detailed information on Verifications, check out this article. This field can be left blank for public visibility.

5. Display Settings

Here, the preview of a job posting can be edited. The options under Summary Settings are displayed on the job posting card, while the fields selected under Other Details are displayed when expanding the post.

6. Search & Sort Settings

The settings under this field allow search, filter, and sort options on the Job Board for the applicant or viewer to skim through all the job postings.

7. Other Settings

Show Add Button: This shows the  button right next to the search bar and allows you to add job postings.

Set Default Image: This image is added by default to the job posting preview if no image is added to the form.

Tags: Relevant tags on the job post make it easier to search and find.

Best Practices:

1. List the Job or Internship Board on the homepage header menu to make it accessible to alumni.

  • On the Directory, click on View on Platform on the top right. Copy the URL of this page.

  • On Admin Navigation, go to Settings > Platform Settings > Edit Main Menu and Footer.

  • Click to add a sub-link or a header link. Give it a name and add the Job or Internship Board URL under the URL.

2. Analyse the engagement on the Job Board using Reports

This gives an overall idea of the engagement happening on the Job/Internship Board with Visits, Views, Clicks, and Searches.

3. View the detailed activities happening on the Job/Internship Board

Activity shows the recent viewers, applicants, and activities on the Job/Internship Board.
